How to use the White Noise Studio
Click any sound card to activate it — you can mix multiple sounds at once. Use the volume slider on each card to balance the mix. Choose a preset mix like Sleep, Focus or Relax for instant results. Set a sleep timer and tick Fade out to have the sounds gradually fade over the final two minutes. Adjust the master volume using the slider at the bottom.
Frequently Asked Questions
White noise contains equal energy across all frequencies — it sounds like a TV static hiss. Pink noise has more bass than white, with energy that decreases as frequency increases, making it softer and more natural. Brown noise (also called red noise) has even more bass and sounds like a deep rumble or heavy rain — many people find it the most relaxing and best for concentration.
Yes. Click as many sound cards as you like and they will all play simultaneously. Each card has its own volume slider so you can blend them — for example brown noise at 80 percent with light rain at 40 percent creates a deeply relaxing combination. The preset mixes are a great starting point.
Brown noise and light rain are the most popular choices for sleep. The deep bass of brown noise masks external sounds like traffic and voices without being distracting. The Sleep preset combines brown noise with gentle rain at a balanced volume. Use the sleep timer so it switches off automatically after you fall asleep.
Brown noise is widely regarded as the best for deep focus and concentration, particularly for people with ADHD. The Focus preset uses brown noise with a hint of white noise. Pink noise is also popular for study sessions. The 25-minute Pomodoro timer on our Countdown Timer tool pairs well with white noise.
